What started as a simple mic experiment turned into a video comparison of various ways of recording the Boss Katana amp! At first, I wanted to test my new Sennheiser e609 mic but ended doing many different recordings using other mics. In this video, I am also comparing the mic recorded tracks to the direct outputs of the Katana amp. This video is a summary of those tests. Amp settings are available in the video or here: http://guitarpatches.com/patches.php?mode=show&unit=katana&ID=10485 Recording process for mics: Boss Katana Head Amp set in 0.5 watt mode Master volume at noon. Boss Katana 2x12 cabinet Sennheiser e609 mic Shure SM57 Abask BM-800 Audio Interface Line6 UX2 For direct recording: Boss Katana Head Amp Line-Out into Line6 UX2 audio interface Line Out Air Feel: REC & BLEND All audio recording done in Reaper. Guitar is Godin Summit CT using the bridge humbucker for the whole recording. Thanks for watching and stay tuned, more to come!!! Subscribed to my channel and Please LIKE my video!
