The original Kingston Trio of Bob Shane, Dave Guard and Nick Reynolds sing an old Scots-based sea chantey. The "heilan'" in the title is Scots dialect for "highland"; the Trio has retained the original pronunciation for those two words but thankfully has not attempted to imitate the distinctive burr of Scots speaking English in the rest of the song. From the group's ninth album (all released in two and a half years, which is how the record industry was in the early 1960s) "Make Way."
