Hey guys, so here is yet another neat test of mine. This one, as you can see, is about the infinite landscape. As you know, textures in blender extend infinity in every direction, even on a third axis. So all I did was create a highly subdivided plane and add a displace modifier. That way, the infinite texture could create infinite bumps, creating an infinite landscape :D
The textures were a bit more tricky, I had to use a uv project modifier to act as a sort of "realtime project from view". With that, I could use stencils and regular textures to create a height based texture system that would work with any terrain I threw at it. Perfect for this use. :D
By the way, after effects hates me so the video turned out much brighter than expected :/
