Bigg Boss 12 is the twelfth season of Indian reality TV series Bigg Boss based on dutch series Big Brother that is being premiered from 16th September on Colors daily at 9 p.m .Salman Khan is hosting this season and he will be hosting the series for the 9th time in a row. Colors TV invited the common people to send their video clip through a streaming application called Voot on 15th April in order to audition for the show. It was later revealed by the show makers that this season of the show would feature contestants in pairs Therefore, declaring the theme "Vichitra Jodis" which translates to "Strange Pairs". 4 promos were shot on 10th August at Mehboob Studios in Mumbai and were respectively released each Sunday. The logo was accidentally unveiled on August 10 by the team on the Twitter handle which they later removed and was officially revealed a week later. The launch press conference on 4th September took place in Goa for the first in the history instead of Mumbai. The first contestant and celebrity pair of this season was revealed during this conference who were the famous comedian and actress Bharti Singh alongside her husband Harsh Limbachiyaa who is a writer. On 9th of September actor Shoaib Ibrahim confirmed wife actress and model Dipika kakar's participation and also spiritual singer Anup jalota confirmed his participation in the show in an interview.
