I am sorry, the star Betelgeuse has another millions years to go, way beyond our average human civilization life on Earth, say about a 1000 years before God hits the reset button!?! Interestingly, the buzz around the world is beetle juice, beetle juice, beetle juice - kids be loving bug juices. If Betelgeuse were to Super Nova, we'd be in trouble, that be God's palm smacking the reset button here on Earth.
I made this live video of Betelgeuse per viewer request. *** Stay Warm bud (y)
Imaging Betelgeuse, focus was never changed on the Canon EF 400mm telescope lens.
Betelgeuse is usually the eleventh-brightest star in the night sky and, after Rigel, the second-brightest in the constellation of Orion. It is a distinctly reddish semiregular variable star whose apparent magnitude, varying between +0.0 and +1.3, has the widest range displayed by any first-magnitude star.
