Although assigned male at birth, Sandra Nandeibam always felt she was a woman at heart. The gorgeous transgender model from Manipur talks about her childhood, her transition, her career, and what it’s like negotiating the dating landscape as a trans woman in India. While Sandra believes that compared to much of the rest of the country, her hometown of Imphal, Manipur, has a more progressive stance towards people who do not fit into society’s restrictive gender binary, identifying as transgender from a young age did not come without obstacles.
