7 hours of Great North Steam Fair scenes crammed into 7 minutes of timelapse video. To complete the '7' theme it took around 7 days to process around 16,000 images from the event and edit them together with our Edwardian era steam powered computers. ;-) And apologies for the sensor dirt visible, we're hoping to have our cameras serviced shortly! 00:00 - Scene 1: Colliery Railway with Coffee Pot No.1 and Captain Baxter shunting. Narrow Gauge railway and various steam road vehicles in the colliery yard. Camera set up at the top of the winder house. The shunting carried out was to move Malleable No.5, a c1900 Stockton Ironworks engine, into the engine shed. No.5 is due restoration - one day! Shot by Andy Martin over two days (16th & 17th April 2011) with a Canon 5D Mkii, Canon 5D and Nikon D80. Compiled with Quicktime Pro and edited with Adobe Premiere CS4.
