At first, the video demonstrates what region to look at of the earlier introduced bending moment diagram to calculate the value of length required at minimum hogging case. Next, the video introduces the formula of calculating length of min hogging bars referring section 13.2.2; as well as illustrates the extra length fact needed to be considered during the length calculation. Moving on, the video briefly elaborates how to assess the different values needed to give input into the shown formula from the data available and using different sections that fall under the umbrella of AS3600. Later, the video calculates down the length of min hogging bars putting the assessed values into the formula & finally demonstrates the acting area of maximum and minimum hogging over the schematic diagram of the given exemplary structure.
