Be the Change: Radha Gopalan at TEDxYouth@Anaikatti

An environmental scientist by training, Radha Gopalan currently heads the Rishi Valley Special Development Authority at Rishi Valley School in Andhra Pradesh. Her job involves interacting regularly with the villagers of the surrounding rural area and facilitating plans for putting principles of sustainable development into action. She oversees four active wings under the RVSDA: Animal Husbandry, Education, Livelihood Training and Natural Resource Management. She talks to us about BEING the change, a topic she herself embodies. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
