Some scenes are extremely graphic. The Battle of Dak To was a major battle of the Vietnam War that took place between in November 1967. It was the last of a series of battles in the Central Highlands, around the town of Dak To, and one of the bloodiest of the war. About 4,500 troops of the US 4th Infantry Division and the 173rd Airborne Brigade faced off with about 6,000 North Vietnamese Army troops. The North Vietnamese were forced to withdraw, with 1,455 dead troops. US casualities numbered 289 killed and 985 wounded.
