you may see me fishing with abu and shimano reels nowadays but my overall favorite brand of reels over the years has been daiwa...
the alphas platform being my favorite in their lineup... but there's no mistaking that the TDZ and ZILLION reels were their main stable that most fisherman have used and loved over the years..
the platform has been used for years now and has seen many variations over the years..
in my opinion the TD-ito 103m was and is still the best reel on this platform made..
way ahead of it's time back when it came out and still performs right with todays reels that are being produced..
this is just my take on what daiwa could have done and could still do to keep this reel on the market and competing with reels out today..
i've been saying it for years that lighter and smaller is still the future of baitcasting reels..
as companies are making these little reels that still put out cranking power and can hold up to daily abuse do to better quality materials and machining ..
i think were almost there with how small we can or need to go but some reels including the tdz platform just needed simple changes to the frame to make them more compact..
anyway hope you liked this video and stay tuned for more bass fishing videos here on Bass n' Bonsai
