This is a character rigging tutorial (Part 1) on creating skeletal structure and some basic control setup. This tutorial focuses on planning some important guide on character rigging for game development in Maya.
As there is no one method on rigging, please treat this as a guide more than a step by step way.
**Note 1: The use of limitations on the knee control can also be applied on the rest of the controls. You should put in limitations on most of the controls to prevent unintentional deformation during animation process.
**Note 2: Most character set up will involve putting a toggle for IK / FK switch. The switch itself can be found in IK Solver Attributes.Creating custom toggles will be in Part 2 of the rigging tutorial.
