Banding 3 weeks old Dexter Calf

This calf is now 3 weeks old, time to castrate. We use a banding (marking) tool to put the band on. Best to restrain calf and keep mother cow on other side of fence for safety. As mum will be close by calf is normally well behave, in this case it stood there for the whole process. The nuts will eventually dry up and drop off.
