Bach, Concerto for oboe and violin, 1st mvt., BWV1060R

First movement of J. S. Bach's Concerto in C minor for oboe and violin. FAQ Q: Who is playing this? A: I licensed this recording from SoundDogs; all they were willing to tell me was that the recording was "drawn from major record labels in Czech Republic, Germany, Sweden, Hungary, Switzerland, Great Britain, and the Netherlands. All the performers are established names in European concert halls ..." However, it appears to be a recording by Café Zimmerman. Q: This sounds a lot like a harpsichord piece I once heard; am I imagining this? A: No. Bach wrote a version of this piece for two harpsichords. He often made two-harpsichord versions of concertos as a way to try them out. In this case, it is believed that it was a sketch for a concerto for oboe and violin, and the score with that instrumentation was reconstructed by modern editors (that's what the "R" stands for). Q: This seems a little fast/slow (frantic/underpowered) to me.
