Awesome footage of a large manatee mating ball (aka mating herd)

When I spotted these manatees, I kept a further distance from them than I usually do since they were being so rowdy. However, a few of them still spotted me and came over to the clear canoe. After they chased me around for a few moments, I decided to beach the canoe in a safe spot nearby and walk over to where the manatees were grouped up just a few feet from the shoreline. This was I was able to get close to them without disturbing them or being noticed. The mating ball lasted all day long, as they often do.
