Experience the thunderous rhythms of ancestral Japanese Taiko drums and the magical sounds of bamboo flutes in the hands of the Taikoza drum group. Traditional costumes and dynamic dance make Taikoza shows immensely popular with kids, parents, and audiences of all ages. Sold out performances have received international critical acclaim. Roughly translated, Taiko means "big drums"—and that's exactly what Taikoza delivers—big drums, powerful rhythms and electrifying, room-thumping energy. Taikoza: Live! Children's Workshop Saturday, October 9, 2010, 1:00 p.m. Location: AU PAC Concert Hall (Must purchase a ticket to the 11am or 3pm Taikoza: Live! performance) A limited number of children will have the special opportunity to work with the Taikoza Company and play the big drums themselves. This child-centered workshop puts kids in touch with the beauty, energy, and culture of the Taiko performance experience.
