It has been brought to my attention that one of my variator experiments has been taken as the by the book way to install variator weights. Do NOT use graphite powder or ANY thing in the variator weight slots, as this will get on the belt and cause it to slip. I am an old man on the mainland and I experiment alot with my little dio elite. No DisRespect to any of my Hawaiin friends. They know more about these little racing bikes than I ever will and I gratefully appreciate any knowledge and tricks they can impart to this crazy Howlee. If it were not for Hawaii and my friends there, I would not have this great hobby or this channel. I hope to visit one day and meet some of the great riders of the Big islands. Just to see more than one racing dio or other bikes in one place would be a great joy to me. No Graphite , No Lube of any kind on the variator weights or in the variator channels on the variator.
