Asus Eee PC 1005P Acquisition

So I got another laptop for free a couple of days ago, it's an Asus Eee PC 1005P. It was given to me by my Aunt since she didn't want it. Apparently it was bought about 5 years ago for a trip to Europe and only used for that trip and then stored in a bag since then, and instead of throwing it out like she was going to, she thought that I might want it, which of course I did so It was given to me. The specs of the machine are an Intel Atom N450 @ 1.66 GHz, 1GB of RAM, 250GB HDD, Intel GMA 3150 iGPU, 10.1" 1024x600 screen & Windows 7 Starter RTM. So far I like the machine a lot, it's a lot nicer quality than all the other netbooks I've used (which were mostly Acer ones), so I guess I've been missing out on a proper netbook all this time since it seems Asus was the way to go back then. I'm not sure what to do with this ting, it's either going to be a Windows 7 machine or an Ubuntu machine (no, I'm not going to dual-boot so don't ask). Either way I go it should work well once I upgrade the RAM since 1GB isn't enough for anything, even back in 2010 when this thing was new it wasn't enough.
