Assassin_s Creed IV: Black Flag is an upcoming historical action-adventure open world video game being developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft.[2] It is the sixth major installment in the Assassin_s Creed series, a sequel to 2012_s Assassin_s Creed III modern story and a prequel to its historical storyline. It is scheduled to be released on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, worldwide, on October 29, 2013.[7] PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are also in development, and the game has been announced as a launch title for both consoles.[11][13] The Wii U version of the game was delayed until November 22, 2013 in Europe.[9] A Microsoft Windows version was announced for release on October 29, 2013, but has since been delayed _a few weeks_,[15] and will now release on November 19, 2013 in North America and November 22, 2013 in Europe.[9]
