Siren: ASC T-128 AC/DC, 5 RPM, 528 Hz
Town: Mazon, IL (Braidwood Exelon siren #7)
Location: Park St. and Depot St.
Test Time: 1st Tuesday of every month 10 AM
Cycle: 1 minute of alert
Other notes: A BNSF autorack train came through and kind of muffled the wind up, but the echoes coming off of this were insane, more so in person than what can be heard in this video. Skip to 1:45 if you don't care to hear the train horn or crossing bell. Other Exelon sirens can be heard winding down after this siren is done including a couple of P-50s.
This T-128 replaced an ACA P-15 which I have audio of in December 2013. I remember coming back from Toluca after the December 2013 test and showing Bill (amtrak3501) the P-15 and telling him it was single tone, and he was all joyful. Then a couple weeks later, it was replaced. I came into Mazon one day and saw the flower horns of the T-128 and was like WTF??
