"Darkness envelops us..." -DESCRIPTION- In this episode we venture out into the dark, eerie woods of Chernarus. Many things lurk in the night... In this series we are tasked with journeying from a small camp near elektro up to devil's castle. May seem simple right? Well, there's a catch. We have to head up there in the dead of night with little to no supplies and the banned use of maps and compasses. First person mercenary difficulty is enabled too acompanied by the fact we are using in-game chat to communicate. There is also the threat of AI bandits that roam through the woods and towns in search for us. Not to mention the hordes of zombies that shamble the streets. Do we make it there alive? You will have to watch and see. It is all recorded on a private server hosted by myself with custom server files. It's not open to the public as it only has a couple of slots for us. Trying to recreate that "old dayz" feeling with this series. Definitely worked for us. Feeling lost is great in this game. -For people wondering about the Bandit AI- I have tried to get the AI to be as fair as possible. There are random groups of them that roam the map and also other groups that hang around towns and places of interest. Some travel in vehicles and others helicopters or planes. AI rarely spawn in large groups. The encounter we had at the start was a rare one, but quite lucky as we caught them by surprise. I was very concerned when they came across us as I thought we were going to have to start again from scratch. Especially when I had run about through towns in the daytime collecting some gear for us in that tent. Either way, the AI have always provided an interesting experience for us and it keeps things interesting; especially when it's near enough impossible to find a DayZ night time server that is populated these days.
