The cave is fairly easy to get turned around in, with a round-about like cavern half way between the entrance and the artifact that leads in three directions (one the entrance, one the artifact, and one a large chamber with pearls). This cave is by far the easiest of the two caves. Compared to the Caverns of Lost Hope, whose primary incentive is loot crates and not much else, the Caverns of Lost Faith features perhaps the densest collection of Silica Pearls with relatively few hostile creatures.
The artifact chamber can be accessed on foot (see gallery), or by the main water cavern (just below the foot entrance). While this cave features walk-able areas, there do not appear to be any subterranean creatures.
Nothing in this cave is tameable, and many creatures do in fact spawn above standard levels (as with the Swamp and Snow caves).
Beware of creatures phasing through the walls as you traverse the cave. This is especially dangerous if a Cnidaria attacks your mount and leaves you vulnerable to a swarm of mantas. Always keep your eyes peeled and stay in motion to prevent the likelihood of an ambush.
The loot table found within this cave shares a loot table exclusive to the two underwater artifact caves. The tables are as follows:
- Blue Chests (level 50 to open) can contain Diplodocus Saddles, Kapro Saddles, Pachyrhino Saddles, Flak Armor, Mining Helmet, Megalodon Saddles, Argent Saddles, Bronto Saddles, Rex Saddles, Spino Saddles, Fabricated Pistols, Assault Rifles and Rocket Launchers
- Yellow Chests (level 60 to open) can contain anything from the Blue Chest table, in addition to Chalico Saddles and Tapejara Saddles
- Red Chests (level 70 to open) can contain anything from both the Blue and Yellow Chest tables, in addition to Therizino Saddles and Tusoteuthis Saddles
The end result are chests with very high valued loot, as they contain newer saddles only found within the two caves, as well as a higher-than-average chance at decent quality Flak Armor compared to other loot sources. All three chest tables also contain loot at a quality range of 3.25 - 4.0, meaning an increased likelihood of Mastercraft and Ascendant quality items.
