This is the long 6 minute version of an arctic snowcat ride 20 km across the ice from a remote mining exploration camp in Nunavut, Canada to the city of Rankin Inlet. Temps were about -42 C with a wind chill of -57 C. Recorded by satellite dish technician Mark Erney while providing technical assistance to the camp in May 2012. Ends with a short drive from the snowcat to the airport through the city of Rankin Inlet. I can't imagine what it would be like to get caught in a whiteout or blizzard on this ride! Hope you enjoy.
