Apple's USB Accessory Restriction Explained (iOS 12)

Earlier this year Apple introduced a new feature in iOS 11 which played a large security role when it comes to USB accessories. Now in the Passcode menu in the settings app there is a toggle for USB protection which can determine if your device could be subject to brute force hacking via USB or not.
