In response to questions about where to get this pedal, you can buy it here: http://goo.gl/bn5iHm So, here is the AMT E2 preamp pedal, which is based on the famous Engl sound. In this video I'm comparing it directly to an actual Engl Powerball, so you can hear how it compares. The AMT Legend Amps series pedals are all designed to be plugged straight into the FX return on your amp head, therefore bypassing the preamp section altogether. They also have the ability to act as a drive pedal, before an amp head, and have a cab simulator, so they can be DI'd directly, or run straight into a soundcard for recording. There's a lot of amp simulating products out there on the market, but the AMT preamps are by far the closest sounding that I've ever come across. Whilst demoing this pedal, I forgot to label the takes as 'pedal' and 'amp', and actually had to rerecord them as I couldn't figure out which was which! I've also been demoing the AMT P2 pedal, based on the Peavey 5150, which will be online soon, so watch out for that! Anyway, hopefully this will be useful to people. Edit: Here's an update, all the series 2 preamp pedals are now on AMT's website at: http://www.amtelectronics.com/products/la-2_guitar_preamp_series/
