It’s been two days since my below-knee amputation! I am now officially part of the amputee community. Pain management has been a challenge but I am hopefully heading home today. In 2018, I made the difficult decision to have an elective below knee amputation due to years of constant and mounting pain and over ten ankle surgeries trying to save it.
