Amazing Arabic Tanoura Dance at Dubai Desert Safari

Tanoura Dance is one the of main attractions at Desert Safari of Dubai. Tanoura or el-Tanoura is an Egyptian folk dance usually performed in Arabic Sufi festivals.The Tanoura dance is performed by Sufi men, Darawish (Dervish). The dance is similar to the Sufi whirling in Levant and Turkey. In this version, the men wear long colorful skirts, where each color on the skirt represents one Sufi order.
