Allure Of The Seas Royal Caribbean Ship - Roatan Honduras We were on the Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas Cruise Ship and had an amazing time visiting Roatan. The first thing we did was explore the shops in the port, and picked up a few souvenirs. Then we started walking the streets along the water till we stumbled upon some local boys swimming and enjoying the beautiful day. We stopped for a bit to watch them, and they started talking with us and we even got to take a photo with them. We were about to head out when one of the boys neighbors came by and offered to walk with us and give us a tour of the city. His name is Teddy Bustio and we were really impressed with him. He was very easy to talk with, gave lots of information and above all, he works to help his family. He told us a lot of people only make $100 a month and that's about how much it costs to run the electricity. Teddy told us Roatan relies on the tourism or else the city would be in the hole. He took us to the first public school and church that was built. We said our goodbyes and gave him a tip and still to this day wish him success. We then walked around the city some more, and stumbled upon some children playing in the street. Alex gave them each a dollar for them to buy food or a toy, they were so happy. Basically we did some more shopping and people watching and headed back on board our ship. Took a shower and got dressed for Dinner and watched the Savannah Jack Show.
