Thanks to the crankshaft with 270 degrees crank offset and the resulting non-uniform firing order, the engine provides a rich acceleration with good traction, because the power curve increases almost linearly. The retro-look attachments conceal a slender and lightweight steel backbone tube frame that holds the 689 cc engine as a load-bearing element. The torsion-resistant frame contributes significantly to the stable and extremely agile handling. This is also helped by the compact wheelbase and solid suspension, which also contribute to high steering precision. With the two-fold leather seat, the easily modifiable frame tail, the aluminum tank and the headlight and taillight in the classic look makes the XSR700 the icon XS650 credit. Add to that noble components such as the covers with wire mesh, the short silencer and other high-quality components made of aluminum such as the struts of the wheel cover and the radiator cover.
