Ahkmed - Chicxulub (2007)

One of those really obscure but really great bands you run into accidentally... So, about the band, Ahkmed is a band from Melbourne (Australia), although people usually put them among the stoner rock/metal bands they are much more than that. They combine a lot of different styles like stoner, post rock, shoegaze, space rock, krautrock etc. They released 2 albums and some EP's and singles. The album I've uploaded is "Chicxulub" from 2007 which is actually a compilation of singles and EP's released earlier. I don't even know if this band is still active or not and I don't know if you can buy their stuff anymore (google it!) They are definitely worth listening to and I advise you to buy their stuff if you can and support them, and you should definitely listen to the album "Distance" from 2009 which is not just an album but a beast of an album.
