African and Islamic roots of jazz discussed by etnomusicologist multi-instrumentalist Dr.Lloyd Miller. This and several other similar landmark concerts of traditional jazz presented by Salt Lake Ethnic Arts have been funded in part for decades by Utah Humanities Council and by Salt Lake County which funding developed into the Salt Lake County Zoo Arts and Parks Program.
