AdobeGFX Photoshop Tut - Beginners; Movie Style Poster Effect Step 1 - Choose two images, drag one over to the other (ALT+Double Click 'Background' image if you have a problem dragging it over). Step 2 - Select 'Layer 1' and add a 'Layer Mask'. Step 3 - Select the 'Gradient Tool' (Right click the 'Bucket Tool') and see the black & white gradient. Step 4 - With 'Layer 1' still selected press 'SHIFT, CTRL, ALT + E' to merge the layers. Step 5 - Remove all colour by pressing 'CTRL + E'. Step 6 - Add noise to smooth the merged effect, 'Filter - Noise - Add Noise', for the amount use anything from 1-6. Step 7 - Click the 'Create New Fill Or Adjustment Layer' and select 'Solid Color' option at the top, select a colour. Step 8 - Change the layer settings from 'Normal' to 'Color'. Step 9 - If you don't like the colour double click your colour layer and change the colour. Now you're done! Well done.
