Acumed Ankle Plating System 3 Cadaver Lab Part 2 Posterolateral Approach

Anish Kadakia, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and associate professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Northwestern University. Dr. Kadakia is a co-designer of the Acumed Ankle Plating System 3, which features seven plate families to treat fractures of the distal fibula and tibia. This system includes two styles of Hook Plates to treat avulsion fractures and fragment-specific plating to address posterior malleolar fractures. Additionally, both the Lateral and Posterolateral Fibula Plates offer built-in features to address the syndesmosis. This cadaveric video demonstrates a posterolateral surgical approach related to implanting a Posterolateral Fibula Plate, a Posterolateral Distal Tibia Plate, or a Posteromedial Distal Tibia Plate.
