Activision - Mattel Intellivision commercial - Pitfall! & Stampede (feat. Earl Boen)

Activision commercial for the Intellivision versions of Pitfall! and Stampede, featuring actor Earl Boen (the clerk on the right). Boen is best known for portraying the psychologist Dr. Silverman in the first 3 Terminator movies. Pitfall! was designed and programmed by David Crane and Stampede was designed and programmed by Bob Whitehead. These two games were the first third-party game made available for Intellivision. Pitfall! was eagerly awaited by Intellivision fans as it gave them to opportunity to play what they would call a "superior" version of one of the most popular Atari 2600 games of all time. It's almost as if Activision Intentionally tried to stay faithful to its cash cow, the Atari 2600, by not making the game all that much different in appearance from the Atari 2600 version. Scoring over 20,000 points in Pitfall! could get you an "Explorer's Club" patch by sending proof to Activision. Likewise, scoring over 3,000 points in Stampede could get you a "Trail Drive" patch by sending proof to Activision.
