There were a lot more recent sites that supported the higher voltage, only older more outdated sites supported the lower voltage. But it makes more sense because it did not sound like 100 thousand voltage could produce temps equal to the surface of the sun. But 100 million to 1 billion sounds more feasible to do that. And all the more makes the point that any animo acids formed in the atmosphere would be also fried by the same voltage that creates it.
