Epidermolysis bullosa is a rare genetic disorder seen in children. This disease is found in one in 50,000 births. It is a connective tissue disorder where some bonding proteins lead to inflammatory changes on skin, forming recurrent large blisters almost all over the body. The skin becomes very sensitive, fragile and prone to recurrent injuries and infections. Epidermolysis bullosa begins soon at birth or few days after birth.
Six years old Jahnavi visited LifeForce Homeopathy in 2012 for the treatment of Epidermolysis bullosa.
These children suffering from Epidermolysis bullosa referred to as Butterfly’s wings or cotton wool babies due to their specific skin appearance. Janhavi’s skin was fragile with recurrent blister formation all over her body. The blister was getting infected frequently with pus formation. Severe itching and bleeding made her life miserable. Her fingers and toes were joined due to contracture as if wrapped in a tissue paper. She was always in discomfort and irritation due to pain. She was emaciated due to malnutrition. Her appetite was poor. Her legs were thin and her weight was only 6 kgs. She was not able to stand and walk without support as it would cause pain in her legs. No medicine was giving her relief.
Jahnavi’s Epidermolysis Bullosa treatment started at Lifeforce in December 2012. After taking Homeopathic medicines duration of episodes of infection reduced to some extent. Recurrent blisters started healing early. Her weight started improving.
In Epidermolysis Bullosa treatment, Homeopathy has a supportive role to play. After giving Homeopathic medicines we can reduce the frequency, duration and intensity of the episodes of infection and blister formation. Homeopathic medicines improve the overall immunity of the child. Homeopathic medicines fasten the healing period and thus can reduce the suffering.
