A Hot Day at Manchester Airport | RWY23R & RWY23L | 09/04/2017

What a hot day, especially in April, it felt more like July/August, lots of sun on the aircraft at Manchester Airport on this day of Sunday 9th April 2017. Location: Aviation Viewing Park - located next to Taxiway Alpha. Most of the day was spent at the AVP, and then Manchester changed its departure runway to RWY23L at 13:00hrs, but the runways summers schedule has RWY23L for 16:00hrs opening on Sundays. The early opening made a great opportunity to catch the Boeing 707 very close up. The reason of the visit was to catch the departure of Royal Air Force (RAF) ZH106 Boeing E-3D Sentry AEW1, which is a very rare treat at Manchester/Ringway these days. Its departure time was 14:00hrs, but a delay caused its departure too 14:45hrs, Plus quite a few bizz jets knocking around again!!
