We promised a G3258-based build, so here it is. NZXT kindly sent us the new S340 case. Priced at $70, it was the perfect addition for our modest gaming system. As fate would have it, the GTX 970 released after filming. If we had had one on hand, we probably would have used that for the GPU instead.

We've done a lot of liquid-cooled systems recently, so for this build we opted to keep everything air cooled. The Hyper 212 EVO is an extremely popular cooler, so we included that in the build. Sure, there are coolers +/- $5 that may perform slightly better, but the 212 is still a great performer for the price.
For the storage, we went ahead and included both an SSD and a hard drive. The SSD fulfills the boot drive and core files role, while the platter drive provides space for games.
