2020 BMW M8 Competition Coupe - Build & Price Review: Configurations, Gallery, Specs, Interior

For drivers who put a priority on performance, the 2020 BMW M8 Competition Coupe will certainly warrant the extra $35,000 or so to update from the M850i. Acceleration is not that different, but the suspension enhancements are significant. Better still, handling performance does not come at the expense of ride quality. The #2020BMWM8 is still comfortable for hours at a time. Compared to rivals like the Porsche 911 and the Mercedes AMG GT, it is a more luxurious, elegant and practical choice. The #2020M8 comes with a turbocharged 4.4-liter V8, the same as the M850i. Here, it generates 600 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque, which is up 77 hp to the M850i's 523 hp. Torque output is exactly the same. There's also an M8 Competition model that increases horsepower to 617 hp. Prices begin at $133,000 for the 2020 BMW M8 coupe, which is $21,100 more than the M850i. While the 2020 BMW M8 Competition Coupe versions will cost you another $13,000 for a starting MSRP of $146,000.
