Lil Skies also won the 10th Spot, but refused to show up to the shoot, after originally accepting the offer. I swear it's the same story time and time again. Every year, XXL put together a group of young artists, who they consider to be the hottest new comers in the rap game. And every year, there's a handful of surprises, and some pretty glaring omissions. Huge omissions from the past include Drake, Nicki Minaj, Childish Gambino, and the Migos. Now, for sure a number of this year's rappers deserved to make the coveted cover, but as always, there has been backlash from fans, as a number of great young rappers have been snubbed.
