2017 Chinese New Year Festival Celebrations kick off worldwide

China has entered its Lunar New Year 2017, ushering in the beginning of the Year of Rooster. It also marks the beginning of Spring. The festival is being celebrated by the Chinese community around the world and is one of the largest outside of Asia. In China, the New Year kicked off with the annual Spring Festival Gala live broadcast on television. New Year celebrations in South Africa are also in full swing.
