2017-18 Student Six Sigma Black Belt Certification

Student Six Sigma Black Belt Certification, a program of University at Buffalo’s Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering and Center for Industrial Effectiveness (TCIE), places student candidates at sponsor companies for the fall and spring semesters to improve an operation. They apply the problem-solving approach of Lean Six Sigma to eliminate the root cause of an issue and reduce variation. The program is open to any type of organization in Western New York, from manufacturers and financial institutions to service agencies and non-profits.
