2015 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen *First Look* Video Review

This SportWagen is the 3rd iteration of the Golf platform with the other 2 being the Golf-R and the regular base Golf hatchback. The SportWagen is an even more practical version of the Golf with 66 cu-ft. of cargo capacity. There really is no way for a compact SUV or Crossover to match the fuel economy of a wagon. And both the gasoline turbo and TDI versions of the Golf SportWagen return outstanding fuel figures. The engine choices are a 1.8 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that makes 170 horsepower or a 2.0 liter turbodiesel egin that makes 150 horsepower and gobs of torque. The diesel is more fuel efficient at 31 MPG in the city and 45 MPG on the highway compared to 25 MPG in the city and 36 MPG on the highway for the 1.8 liter engine.
