2014 VW Golf 7 GTD (184hp) - DRIVE & SOUND (1080p)

The full Autobahn and country road Drive & Sound with the highly anticipated 2014 Volkswagen Golf 7 (VII) GTD, the diesel-powered GTI with its 2.0 4-cylinder Diesel, 184 hp and 380Nm of torque. This car is equipped with the standard 6-speed manual gearbox instead of the DSG in the "old" Golf 6 GTD I have driven, and the gearbox is surprisingly good! Besides that the new engine delivers a good punch up to 4.500 rpm and is very fuel efficient if you drive the car normally. I managed to have an overall consumption of 6.1 liters / 100 km which I think is very fair considering my quick driving for this video. If the questions comes up if this car had the optional exhaust sound package: The answer is NO, the Sport & Sound package that comes with a speaker in the exhaust was not part of the option list. The interior quality in my eyes is superb and just as good as the one in the Audi A3. And the steering is one of the best ones on the whole market, very nimble in corners but totally relaxed on straight Autobahn drives.
