A collection of clips from the 199th running of the Royal St. John's Regatta.
The day results in the only civic holiday in Canada dependent entirely on the weather. Conditions must be satisfactory for rowing. The day brings thousands of people from both near and afar to the shores of Quidi Vidi Lake in downtown St. John's. Dozens of vendors and concessions line the west shores of the pond as the races proceed on the water. The Regatta concludes in the evening, eleven hours after it began, with the men's and women's championship races, won this year by Outer Cove and M5 respectfully.
