In this video, I go through the process of replacing the Head Gasket on my 1999 Jeep Wrangler SE. Driving home from work, I noticed a loss of power and thick white smoke from the exhaust. This isn't a terribly complicated job and any reasonably competent mechanic should be able to complete the job. Having said that, a video guide usually helps. Before You Remove Anything: Mark All Your Electrical Connections With A Small Piece of Paper & Pencil/Pen; ie: Fuel Injectors, Throttle Body Connections, etc. This will save your hide when you go to put everything back and have forgotten which plug was for Number 3 cylinder and Number 4 Cylinder. You will need a 1/2 Deep Well Socket. This is the video I referenced: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZd0rgTrFPQ You will need a repair guide, always a good idea, also a good mix of sockets and ratchets. Metric and Imperial tools. Don't forget to have your cylinder head checked for flatness and machined if necessary. This is usually very cheap and good insurance against failure of your shiny new head gasket. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to leave a comment and I will try to answer you as soon as possible. Thank you and have a great day. Tread lightly!
