1982 commercial - Palmolive, with Madge the Manicurist

45-second commercial (a very unusual length), featuring Madge the Manicurist (played by Jan Miner), who was the spokeswoman in Palmolive Dishwashing Liquid commercials for 27 years, starting in the 1960s. Jan was a classically trained actress, who studied with Strasberg, and performed in the American Shakespeare Festival, but Madge was the role that made it possible for her to pick and choose her roles, instead of having to take every role she was offered. She died in 2004, at the age of 86.
