Albion Park in Brisbane was the venue for the 1977 Interdominions. Three New Zealanders made the final, Stanley Rio, Trusty Scott and Sole Command, who were trying to achieve a New Zealand win on Australian soil. Also in the field were the two great Australian pacers of that era, Pure Steel and Paleface Adios. Another top race call from Christchurch commentator, Reon Murtha. Following this clip of the race is an interview with John Noble, Stanley Rio's driver, that was conducted after he had driven El Regale to 3rd place in one of the opening heats of the 1983 Interdominions in Auckland.
