1930: Hard Times

The Afro-American Historical Association of Fauquier County - Virtual Museum. The bubble burst late in 1929 with the stock market crash. As the months went by, banks increasingly failed. Businesses went under. Long, hungry lines of the unemployed relied on soup kitchen food for substance. Bread lines formed.
