In RKO’s first sound musical “Syncopation,” this popular tune of 1929 was performed on-screen by both Waring’s Pennsylvanians and singer Morton Downey. The film starred Barbara Bennett (sister of Joan and Constance) and Bobby Watson (who later played the “Moses Supposes” diction coach in “Singin’ In The Rain”).
